Corruption,politics And People.

It is very interesting to note that all political party do not hesitate to support their members involved in corruption. You therefore have BJP supporting Karnataka Chief Ministerer, DMK supporting A Raja and Congress trying very hard to underplay its members brazenly involved in corruption by going slow in investigations. However when it comes to commenting on other parties corrupt members all political parties go whole hog in their condemnation of corruption and the individuals involved.

It is by now sickening to watch on TV channels the Congress and BJP spokesmen in particular   blaming each other and going as far in

history as possible to justify the wrongdoing by their present members by pointing the misdeeds  by opposite party members years ago. Some defences are bizarre. It is pathetic to see the BJP spokesman stating that an enquiry should be instituted as to how the SIT report on Narendra Modi is leaked out when based on the CAG's leaked report the party did not allow the parliament to function for even for a day.

Or you have the DMK chief saying that Raja is being victimised because he made mobile phone calls cheap. The BJP wants every minister incuding the PM to resign because of the scams but they are not in a position to make the Karnataka Chief Minister

resign even when the BJP president says the CM has done an immoral act. Nor is the Congress able to punish the two Cental Ministers from Maharashtra involved in granting permissions for the Adrash building in Mumbai.Todays papers are carrying a news item that a section of the Congress MLA's are requesting the party high command not to permit investigation into the then CM'S role in Adarash scam.

It is because of the Supreme Court  and relentless pressure by some TV news channels that some of these investigations are going on. Left to the poitical parties the cases would go on at a snails pace for ever and some of these involved would be appointed Governors at a later date.Bec ause one is not guilty till sentenced by a Court

Is public memory really so short or is the public helpless is the question. How long will the common man suffer in silence and see his wealth being looted by those in whose trust it is placed for governing purposes. Will the winds of change from Tunisia and Egypt reach the shores of India or have we become a nation of insensitive people.
